Schedule notes

Hawaii's only school district. 2026-27 HSTA 10-month teacher schedule (Exhibit E), linked under Teacher (BU 05) on HIDOE's Current Salary Schedules page; a 12-month schedule (Exhibit EE) is also posted. Lane mapping follows the schedule's own initial-classification row: bachelor's = Class II (BA), master's = Class III (BA+30 or MA), doctorate = Class VII (Doctorate). Classes IV-VIII are reclassification lanes reached by adding 15 credits to the class below, so a master's teacher can climb above the Class III figures shown; Class VIII tops out at $105,426. Steps run 4 to 14, then 14A and 14B. Step 4 ($53,649 in Class II) is the entry rate for teachers who have not completed a State Approved Teacher Education Program; starting pay shown is Step 5, the first licensed step. Enrollment is 147,656 students in HIDOE schools for 2026-27 per HIDOE (161,102 including public charter schools, whose teachers are also covered by the HSTA contract).
