Mississippi's minimum teacher salary schedule is set in state law (Miss. Code Section 37-19-7). SB 2103 (2026 Regular Session, approved by the Governor April 8, 2026) set the 2026-27 and later schedule: A (bachelor's) $43,500 to $62,800, AA (master's) $45,000 to $68,250, AAA (specialist) $46,000 to $70,200 and AAAA (doctorate) $47,500 to $73,400, at 35 or more years. The previous bachelor's minimum was $41,500. Districts add local supplements; most contracts are 187 days. Districts are the ten largest by MDE 2025-26 enrollment, plus Vicksburg Warren and Biloxi because four of the ten had no current official schedule posted.
Match the school year, degree lane and credited experience. The published maximum is not a promise of starting placement. Confirm contract days, supplements and eligibility in each district’s official schedule.
