Arkansas sets a flat minimum, not a step schedule: since 2023-24 every classroom teacher must earn at least $50,000 under Ark. Code Ann. § 6-17-2403 as amended by Act 237 of 2023 (the LEARNS Act), per the Arkansas Department of Education's Commissioner's Memo FIN-23-041. Teachers already above $50,000 in 2022-23 received at least a $2,000 raise in 2023-24. NEA figures are for 2024-25 (NEA Rankings & Estimates; average starting salary from the NEA Teacher Salary Benchmark). Districts are the 10 largest by 2025-26 enrollment in the ADE Data Center's Enrollment Count by District report; all 10 post a 2026-27 schedule. Bachelor's, master's and doctorate columns use each district's base lane for that degree, on its standard 190-day teacher contract.
Match the school year, degree lane and credited experience. The published maximum is not a promise of starting placement. Confirm contract days, supplements and eligibility in each district’s official schedule.

Does a master’s degree change the salary?
Check the master’s lane in the district’s published schedule. Degree supplements and placement rules vary; a missing value here does not mean there is no additional pay.
