Schedule notes
2026-27 teacher salary schedule (Appendix A of the working agreement). The grid uses experience rows and education-gated steps, so no simple lane grid is shown. Steps 1-2 are no longer used: a new bachelor's teacher starts at Step 3 Row A ($53,981) and a new master's teacher one row higher at Step 3 Row B ($55,061). BA+24 is required to pass Step 4, a master's to pass Step 7 and MA+24 to pass Step 9. Bachelor's max = highest cell open to a plain bachelor's (Step 4 Row F, $60,196); master's max = Step 9 Row I ($75,525). The schedule tops out at $79,277 (Step 10 Row I, MA+24); no doctorate lane is published. Enrollment is the PK-12 total from the SD Department of Education 2025-26 Fall Enrollment Census.
