State minimum salary
Utah does not set a statewide minimum teacher salary schedule; each district negotiates its own. Under Utah Code 53F-2-405 the Legislature appropriates an Educator Salary Adjustment that the State Board passes to districts per licensed educator, and the district schedules here show it built in (from $5,845 in Alpine and a projected $6,461 in Weber to $10,661 in most others). NEA average and starting salaries are FY 2024-25. Districts are the 10 largest by Utah State Board of Education October 1, 2025 enrollment. Davis does not post a 2026-27 educator schedule online. Jordan, Canyons and Washington County pay on a single step scale with education credits instead of degree lanes, so some degree figures are left blank.
Match the school year, degree lane and credited experience. The published maximum is not a promise of starting placement. Confirm contract days, supplements and eligibility in each district’s official schedule.
